During our vacation in July, we — a family from Switzerland with two sons aged 16 and 14 — had dinner at Wiley’s by the Wharf: absolutely delicious food, very friendly service, and a great Canadian atmosphere with live music! The value for money is excellent. Wiley’s by the Wharf was one of the culinary highlights of our trip. The blackened haddock tacos were an absolute dream!

On a friend’s recommendation, my daughter and I drove to Wallace for a late lunch. It was superb in every way. Each component was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and the service friendly and prompt. Ended our meal with a lovely chat with the owner/chef. An absolute gem and worth the drive (also pretty itself). I cannot rave enough about Wiley’s by the Wharf in Wallace. Just 10/10 stellar.

Such an amazing experience. Staff were amazing. Stephanie went out of her way to make my birthday special on a whim. Cannot recommend this place enough. Food was 11/10, service 15/10 and environment was 10/10. Who would have thought that there was such a wonderful gem in Walllace. Was a “Wiley” amazing experience.

Visiting from NE Ohio and staying at Amherst Shore Provincial Park. Staying low key today before starting to head towards home. Decided to visit Pugwash for somewhere to go for a short trip. After there we drove a little farther down the road for a bit. We were looking for somewhere to eat and were heading to Tatamagouche. Looked at Google and saw really good reviews so we turned around. Luckily we were there early, arrived around 4pm. They had reservations from 5:30 onward and were pretty booked up. At 4 we had the place to ourselves. I had the seafood chowder and the crab and haddock cakes. Being in Ohio good seafood is hard to come by but both the cakes and chowder were excellent. He had oysters, chowder and salad. He really liked everything. He had really been wanting oysters and was almost ready to get a second order. Of course we had to get dessert. He said his cheesecake was real good. The chocolate fudge cake was not overly sweet which was good, I thought maybe a little dry, but overall I really liked it. The owner and the young man that helped us were very nice. I’m glad we stopped in. Would definitely recommend.

While my wife and I were staying in the Tatamagouche area of Nova Scotia recently for my Mother’s 90th Birthday, we ventured in to the amazing little town of Wallace NS where we had a Birthday Dinner reservation set up at Wiley’s by the Wharf. What a wonderful experience for all of us. My wife and I, who are huge seafood lovers, truly can say that our dinner was among the best we have ever had. And we have travelled extensively. Sometimes these little diamonds in the rough can truly astonish you. Members of my family who had eaten here previously had recommended this location to us, and we all decided to go. I can’t say enough about the food and the service at this wonderful scenic little restaurant. The Staff went over the top for my mother‘s 90th birthday by setting up some birthday banners and decorations and made her feel so special. We loved every moment of it and would like to thank everyone for an amazing experience Paul and Andrea Calgary Alberta ????????

So refreshing to dine at a restaurant where they take pride in what they serve. Everything we had here was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating. The seared halibut with risotto was excellent and so well prepared it nearly brought me to tears . We were staying in the area and were able to enjoy a couple meals here. I can attest that the fish&crab cakes, butter chicken, and the Wiley's burger were also delicious.

Heading home looking for a lunch stop... what a pleasant surprise to find Wiley's! Nothing fancy but quality food at a reasonable price point. The crab and haddock cakes (there were two of them!) were flavourful - loved the salty tartar sauce. The blackened haddock tacos (also too!) were huge and perfectly cooked. Sticky toffee pudding was decadent and a perfect sized dessert for 2 (from a guilt standpoint!). Friendly and efficient service. My only suggestion would be to work on presentation of the food on the plates - add some garnishes to make it look more appetizing. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are passing by!

Wiley’s is an excellent stop in the small town of Wallace. The food, atmosphere and service was top notch and I highly recommend to anyone nearby. I celebrated my birthday there and it was easily the best birthday celebration that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Our table was immaculately prepared with birthday signs, fun items, and topped off with a hilarious birthday song (50 Cent). I went with 8 others and they all very much enjoyed themselves. Thanks again Wiley’s!
